Coming from me this may sound weird, but disaster movies are often pretty boring actually. It seems odd that for such a vast field of ideas and innovations, we're always stuck with mundane and repeated concepts. :/ (Unless they're zombie movies, but then I may just be slightly straight halled.) So I'll go for epic movies, because when those are done right, besides awesome factor, you can get emotionally moved, and if it's ridiculous, at least it's good for a laugh. ^_^ Twister being the exception, but that wasn't so much of a disaster film, was it? Although one old movie I loved, but I forgot the title. :/
