Just today I found out my boss, who I thought was so stressed out and needing help has basically been throwing under the wheel for all her mistakes. I thought she was going to have my back for helping her out. Wrong person to trust!

It seems like my entire life I only trust the wrong people.too bad I can't see into the future at how bad they will treat me and screw me over and I wouldn't keep getting hurt. Thankfully, I am learning my lesson and being very careful before I trust anyone and I mean anyone ever.

Yes, but it was an odd case where the person I was trusting was myself...It turned out I was really really wrong. I should have listened to my best friend instead of insisting that I was right.

Oh yes. I thought someone was my friend. He turned out to be a sociopath with a history of threatening and intimidating people. He even tried to have someone killed years ago and spent time in prison for it. Not a nice person. Not a fun experience.

Yeah, my ex, a few tenants, a good friend who was in my wedding....I'm sure there's a few more. Hey, I'm a nice guy....but then I sue you.

Oh yes, I have trusted the wrong people as well as what you would call the right people. I've learned very recently people will disappoint us -- even the ones we've loved and known all of our lifes. The pain can be excruciating. As much as humans can fail us, they can also turn around and be sorry for what they have done. We've all failed at loyalty to some degree or another.

Yes I have on many occasions and I'm sure it will happen again.There are people out there who are master manipulators and suck you in without you even realising they are doing it!

More times than I care to count! But through those mistakes I have learned to be a much better judge of character and cautious when it comes to trusting too much.

Yes. It cost me a lot...financially over $20,000.00. It cost me physically as it was a business venture and I seemed to be the only one who was willing to do all that I agreed to do...and more. But, years later I find that I learned more than it cost me. My husband and I grew closer thru the firey trial. I earned the respect of some people who were standing near and were watching. My *betrayer* lost more though, cause she lost me! This incident helped me to end a 17 year long friendship with someone who never really was my friend at all. For these things I am very thankful!

No I haven't, between the two of us, my husband and I have been pretty good judges of character or else have just met a lot of very nice people. I think there has been only one person that surprised us, and that was back in 1973, when we let a pet shop owner care for our pet baby skunk while we went on our honeymoon and when we came back she claimed it had died. We're positive that she sold it to someone else. We were young, in love, and naive:-(
