well when they did it because those 2 woman started running around it was funny actually. i don't know what they were trying to do. all the other times it was like shut up and let him talk
-
Ya know, it really bothered me because I wanted to hear what the man was going to say. The chanting was distracting and misplaced. Let him talk already!

I agree with the other answers - And I'd add, not just the USA chants, but the standing ovations after every sentence REALLY dragged things along. You'd think people would know to be quiet, while he was recounting his experience as a prisoner.
-
Since their purpose was to disrupt, it was successful, but not in the spirit of a country that believes in freedom of speech.

I'm not a huge fan of it. I tolerate it based on the fact that it is a giant pep rally for the party after all. Everyone is jacked up for their guy. It is mindlessly inspirational. How is that?
-
I know they were excited, but....didn't they want to hear him speak? It was a little much. I told you before, Stu, that...to be fair...I was going to listen to the speech tonight at the RNC. It did not, of course, change my mind about my voting. And I'll stop and go to bed before I say anything further....
-
I thought it was mindless. I thought his speech was good, but too long. If they wanted to say anything, say his name, I don't know, it just sounded unreal.
-
Outside of a WWF wrestling match, I've always found a USA chant tiresome, and cheesy.

Dems did exactly the same thing..they are showing what they think is "patriotism"..each side is out-patrioticking each other..it is pathetic. I think both sides should shut up..words are useless..actions are what is going to count. They should state their ideas and shut up about everything else. Whoever is elected will then act and we can judge...everything else is silly blathering and should be ignored..on both sides. That's my opinion! :)
