How about changing the rule as follows: If the closing pitcher in the half-inning before the winning run scores is a reliever, he gets the win, otherwise the first pitcher of the winning team with the most outs in the game is declared the winner.

    Not sure what you mean.......what if the first pitcher of the winning team isn't the pitcher with the most outs???
