  • If you ask a question, you cannot only solicit comments toward a certain slant. That just isn't fair. I did not watch the speech so I cannot tell you.
  • I think Palin is a biased VP candidate that is merely twisting her words to make it sound like what the republicans want to hear. She even had to be briefed over the past day just so she could be brain washed by the McCain's advisors. I just pretty much stand against everything she says. Does anyone actually see an end in sight in Iraq? Who will the republicans lower taxes for, the rich? (just as bush has and that whole trickle down theory failed). McCain sure as hell isnt getting my vote.
  • I thought she did a very good job in propelling her party's platform forward. Even most of the liberal crowd at msnbc have given her considerable credit.
  • I thought she did as good a job as any other politician at saying a lot of words, but not saying very much. She is cuter than the rest though.
  • I thought she was cold and very confident and got her message across. I believe she will be a great Vice. Hey with 5 kids and a job as a govener if she can hold that, I think she ready to go. It will be interesting. I do like her. Had different thoughts at first but after listening , I like her.
  • East hill start telling my student loan lenders to give me more money and then we will talk. For a white male with no disabilities try getting a scholarship or grants.
  • I thought she was awesome. It was refreshing to have straight talk without a lot of misdirection, etc. She delivered her speech as a normal human being as well instead of the more common elite politician talk. She may be our century's Teddy Roosevelt, unafraid to take on the power structure and come into the fight with conviction and a common sense perspective instead of theories and idealistic dreams of grandor. I think she is an excellent choice for the ticket.
  • For a newcomer, she handles herself like an old pro. Looks like we have a winner here.
  • OK, I'm not going to be negative here about anything - I promise. 1. The speechwriters did a fair job - with a good turn of phrase here and there. 2. Palin read from the teleprompter pretty good for being fairly new to the experience. 3. She seemed to keep her "flop sweat" under control, which is hard for a relative novice to do. 4. She didn't coff much if at all - and I didn't see much spittal flying from her mouth. 5. She was dressed for the ocassion and her hair was profesionally done and she almost looked atractive in a sad sort of way. There we go - 5 "constructive" comments about the 1/2 term governor of the state of Alaska. After watching her tonight I'm sure she will have a future in public speaking - maybe with additional practice she will go so far as to do 6 and 11 PM weather reports at a Television station in some middle sized city in the US or Canada. Serisously - I don't think that would be taxing her abilities too much - and then perhaps one day she could do one of those Sunday Morning local public affairs show..."Chat with the Mayor" or somesuch as that. I think with practice she could pull it off with satisfactory results. There - all constructive comments as asked - I hope you enjoy them. keep smilling!
  • It was refreshing to see a family that I could relate to. She has the same problems that a lot of Americans have. She is a class act. She is really what we need. A washington outsider and a political maverick. I hope that she gets a chance to prove herself to all of America. I would hire her to run my business and leave immediately on vacation, worry free. Obama would not get hired. I could not trust him because he has done nothing except being a Chicago mob lawyer.
  • What do you mean by "constructive comments." Do you mean positive comments: as in, "Oh yeah, it was a great speech. I loved it. She sure showed them liberals. She is awesome. Imagine, a home-maker with executive political experience! She's one hot mama!" (I say with much sarcasm ;-) or do you mean: how could it been better?
  • She was impressive, and the audience clearly loved her. To use Sarah's own words: a pit bull with lipstick. And I'm not even a Republican :]
  • The speech was extremely well-written.
  • Very well delivered.
  • It was well written, well delivered, and I think she's going to make an excellent Vice President.
  • I think that she hit a home run. It was very well delvered. Loose with the facts, but well delivered. She was much better than Mitt Romney and old Rudy.
  • She's charismatic, charming, and has a cute sense of humor. Is she qualified to take over the highest office in the land if necessary? Who knows? She gave us absolutely no substance in the entire speech. She sarcastically insulted Obama and Biden just as the base would expect. But what else would you expect at a convention? The real test will be the campaign trail and how well she holds her own in a debate with Biden.
  • I liked the way she introduced her family that was very endearing. However I did not like her constant finger pointing she keep switching her hands to make a point. I found her sense of humor very unfunny. And finally I did not like the way she twisted the facts to serve her needs.
  • I think that she delivered it well but that the took the low road by attacking the opposition in the way she did. I also think the fact checkers and some interesting things to say about it?
  • I really don't want to get into it, but how does two years as governor of a state with what's basicly a 19th century quasi-welfare economy with the population and budget of a couple of good sized metro suburbs qualify as experience? I can understand her appeal to some people but this was the act of a campaign in trouble.
