My dad always said that society is like a pendulum, once it's reached its lowest point, it can't do anything but go up again, that by the momentum of what follows every occurrence. (Aftermath, impact, which becomes the preceding factor for the future.) Of course once you're high enough, you can't do anything but fall again...:/

Yes or something drastic like the depression we do because it makes people take hold of what life really is about. When we are faced with hardship nothing else matters but getting through that hard time and thats when people stand together the most.. Its not a depression but take 911 or Hurrican Katrina no our government completely sucked but the people stood together and made it through.. Everyone reached out to help another..
