They are on about the same level as puppy farms for food. I don't rate dogs other than my own as deserving any more empathy than any other animal. It's sad to see them suffer, but they are just animals.
-
I am all for whatever the consumer demands. Lots of people just want a cute puppy cheap and don't care where it comes from.
-
its not very cool!
-
I think they are evil. So is factory farming. Any animal in a cage is a tragedy.

The weather today was sunny with a light breeze and a temp of 22. Beautiful day. It's so nice to see the buds starting to grow on the trees. It really is a beautiful spring. I went walking in the botanical gardens at dawn this morning. It was beautiful. All the parrots flying around and chattering, boats on the harbour, beautiful flowers. Ah, life is grand.

I think they should be band..
-
I think they should be banned. they don't care about the dogs.. they just want the money. they sell sick pets and don't care. it's all about the money. there are too many dogs who need homes and people still buy from these places. I think the govt. should shut them all down. they are a disgrace. If they treat animals that way, how do you think they treat their own kids.
-
I hate them! They don't care about the happiness and well-being of the dog -- only about the money they're making.
-
I didn't know they discriminated against certain groups. I'm not naive to not expect that given he current world situation, but I think that BS. I loved my travels. Camels do spit, but they don't aim it at you and I've never seen them kick. Where are your family from?

You're right, you win...

They should be banned, period. We run an online pet health business that sells 100% natural products to treat a variety of common pet ailments, particularly Canine Parvovirus, and we hear from many of our customers that their dogs get sick within a day or two of buying them. This mainly happens when they buy them from "suspect" places. Our advice is always to rescue a pet from a shelter - six of our seven dogs are rescues, so we do practise what we preach. In the US, there are already up to 12 million dogs being killed every year (they call it nice terms like "put to sleep" or "depopulated", but killing is what it boils down to, so the last thing we need is people adding to the problem of too many dogs.

what the hell is a puppy mill
-
TT, A puppy mill is a place where unscrupulous owners breed dogs. The females give birth over and over and over at the fastest rate possible. Usually purebreds. They are kept in appalling conditions. Most are caged and crippled because they never get to walk on solid ground. Dogs that outlive their use are killed. Most of the puppies are sold to pet shops. The places are hellish for animals.
-
Everyone says they don't want lower cost puppies but it is not true. If there is one for $500 and one for $1000 and your entire Christmas toy budget was originally suppose to be $350 which are you going to choose? People want hot dogs and cheap puppies regardless of where they come from.
-
People should go to jail for having them and I wish we could find them all and demolish there place for doing such a bad thing. That is why the animals are all sick .
-
I think people who run puppy mills should die horrible deaths because of what they put those poor animals through. shooting dogs once they are no longer able to reproduce is completely immoral. I believe in the good phrase, "Don't shop, adopt!"
