  • There are more truths that enter into the equation. God created humans with free will and responsibility. We are not robots who only answer to emotion and instinct. Evil is the opposite or absence of good. Moral evil results from humankind's free choice to sin. Sin is a deliberate thought, word, deed, or omission contrary to the eternal law of God. With love in Christ.
  • God is good..logically...if there is a God...HE by definition is good even if Hes bad... He decides whats good. omnipotent. i f htere is a God...who created all things then by definition He controls all things, makes all things, destroys anything at anytime at His pleasure and wil and in His goodness or badness... which by definition is good. evil exists...if God says evil exists..it does. also, it can be seen daily. no logic needed. all are correct. ying and yang..right and wrong... good and bad..gravity and antigravity. without evil, one would not appreciate goodness
  • I love the problem of evil. It always boils down to "We can't understand god's goodness," which is much like everything boiling down to faith.
  • If someone were able to solve the problem of evil, it would have been done long before now, my friend. The fact that no human mind has managed to comprehend the dichotomy does not mean that the three statements cannot be reconciled. It only means that they have not been until now. Firstly, I would question the meaning of the word "omnipotent" as presented in the Bible. God is, indeed, all powerful, ie He can do anything THAT IS WITHIN HIS CHARACTER. So, He cannot DO evil. But He IS Good. Secondly, He will not FORCE His human creations to obey Him. He has always given them a choice. Lastly, the problem of evil has always been taught as a temporary one. Evil was defeated by the death of Jesus on the cross, and humans have had their sinfulness (= rebellion against God; disobedience to God) paid for. Now God is giving humans the choice once again to follow Him. When the time is right, Jesus will return and restore the rest of creation (destroy evil totally) ie He will create a new heaven and a new earth. Presumably they will be peopled by those who have WILLINGLY followed Him. Hope this helps.
