Cheap? You ARE talking Indian prices here, right? I can't imagine anywhere cheaper, even at the top end of the price scale there.

You'll probbly be very overwhelmed if you haven't been before. 2nd hand furniture is'nt that widely available as most things are handed down or used for firewood, but every thing is so cheap in India if you haggle! (and they'll expect you to haggle!)if you don't you may well find yourself doomed and out of pocket. You'll find plenty of furniture shops selling the same sort of stuff usually all wood,wall hangings and Religious brick 'a' brack.The main street with hundreds of stalls for almost everything is the Colaba Causeway.Your best bet is the Chor bazaar/market North of the Fort,Dhabu St for antiques and furniture. Have your wits about you in this place, touts and thieves everywhere. Good luck. You'll either love it or hate it...
