I considered introducing myself by my middle name before. But too many people know me by my first for it to go over well... it would appear odd after so many years to suddenly change what Im called.

Not me but my husband is known by his middle name. Most people don't even know his first name.

No I am know by a derivation of my first name because very few people can pronounce my name. I prefer the shortened version anyway.

No, I've always gone by my first name. It's shorter than my middle name, and an uncommon, unisex name. People always think it's a nickname anyway...they always ask "so, what's your REAL" name?" Wish I had a dollar for every time I heard that!

My mother and my older sister call me by my first *and* middle name when they think I've done/said something bad. "LISA ANN!!" Ugh. Makes me cringe just typing it...
