"Galaxy Quest" (1999)

There was a movie many years ago, the name of which I'm not sure..perhaps "Silent Running"? It was all about a huge space station greenhouse..trying to keep alive the last remanants of green things, growing things. I think Bruce Dern may have been in it, but I don't remember that for sure either. It was an awesome movie..quieter, more low-key, less "out there" than "2001 a Space Odyssey". I liked it better! :)

Definitely Apollo 13. The blast-off scene I find to be powerful and moving. I just watched a documentary on a space shuttle mission this morning and the courage these people have and the significance of there missions moves me. I've always admired great people who step forward and risk their lives for the greater good.
