Forget the propaganda - Georga attacked those two breakaway republics first - just go back through the news reports at the time, ( and use UNBIASED news outlets like the BBC, CTV, CBC, etc..).
Now - will Russia atack anybody soon? Who knows - but it's more likely I think that we, ( I mean Americia), will strike out in anger at somebody first, ( Iran perhaps ), then Russia will.
Russia - for all it's "evil badguy" hype is in poor shape to attack anybody for the moment.
