Not sure about vicodin, but if it's cocaine they WON'T SHUT UP!
-
Vicodin tends to make someone very moody, and they can spend lots of time in the bathroom due to the side effect of which one is constipation. If you see subtle changes, mood swings, and being aggitated, it could be Vicodin. That is an opiate, and opiates are very addictive. Secondly if he is using coke, whether snorting or smoking (crack) the behavior is obvious. They tend to sniff and cought a great deal, stay up longer than normal and then may sleep for an entire day. Also coke tends to make people very talkative, but when they come down that is noticable as well. They can appear to be depressed, but are actually "junk sick" till they get their next hit.People who use alot of coke can get a twitch of the mouth, and very jittery. Here is some information and good luck. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000949.htm

If you didn't know them before they started using drugs then you may nt know, or put it down to their personality, but if you knew them previously then yu will notice a significant change in their personality and temperament. that's why so many drugusers lose their friends, because they change who they are.

All are good responses, but Ulysses is right on the money. as if with a loved one, or one we have known for a long time, behavior off the norm would be the trigger to someone being suspect. Now, EVEN if it's not a drug related issue, we still must be in tune unto those we care about, as the next condition to behavior change may be related to the many chronic depression issues identified today, which can be even more detrimental to them than the drug. as we can all deal with a re-hab treatment, or maybe just quit, but depression needs to be brought to the attention of professional counseling. most times it's easier to have one quit, than having them accept the need for a head doctor. So, keep that ever diligent watch upon those we care about, as who knows, one day it might be them helping us, because our loved ones cared enough to save us when we couldn’t do so for ourselves. Great issue, and participation, Peace!

if someone is on cocaine mainly in a cooked form (smoking crack)they are very nervous and jittery(sorry didn't mean to take someones word) long term use causes weight loss and their teeth are usually affected and distancing themselves from people, eyes moving back and forth and clenched teeth as well as constant looking around like your looking or something and nervousness (shaking) rapid heart beat are immediate signs

People on coccaine are very energetic and outgoing. And as Shady Guy said, they wont shut up. If someone can party for 10 hours in a row, four nights a week you should suspect them for taking coccaine. After some days of partying most cokeaddicts have a few "down" days where they sleep a lot and are grumpy.

dude if your kids are on drugs you should just leave it be cause their trying to find an escape from reality most likely you
