If you are an alcoholic, there is no wrong time to drink alcohol.

Its perfectly all right. After the sun sets in the evening the night is before sun rise and I am generally having a tipple at night so I am drinking before sunrise. :)

I think that if someone regularly needs something first thing in the morning (ex. to smoke cig. or pot. or take a mother's little helper...), then there is a certain level of dependency on that thing. However, if one is only drinking on a particular morning due to upsetting news s/he received, then it is more permissible.
