Is there a rule that questions should not be asked on AB if they can be Googled?

Nope. There's no "Can be Googled" flag option on AB. I don't see anything wrong with questions that can be Googled. Users who don't like such questions can just ignore them.

If AB had that rule, about 85% of the questions would disappear...;-D...

No it is some people has issues with questions. I do not think they care but rather they can not think of something good to post themselves so they post a ranting question hoping to gain attention. No one in their right mind would believe that people who are searching for answers would only go to Google and not try many sources to gain knowledge. I noticed that most of the questions here (mine included) are posted in the spirit of not so much gathering knowledge then to socialize. Learning about other people and how they deal with certain issues of life. The only rules I am aware of is that it is indeed a question and it isn't offensive in nature. It does not ask for the same information as another question. And that you do not Point out another member in a negative or embarrassing manner.

Nope. I've answered tons of questions that I've gotten the answer for from google in like 5 seconds.

None at all, though many people here do not like questions that are obviously homework questions. Or questions like "I found this pill, what is it?"

Pretty much every question can be Googled, so that would put the site out of business, except for Congratulating Answerbaggers, opinion-based and "Could I be pregnant" questions:)

Well, Ill give you my pov on this. What cant be Googled? I do see how some questions are just too easy, but, I do not think there is a rule relating to that, good question!
