  • I like to read a good book and have some chamomile tea. The tea relaxes me - even the process of brewing the tea starts relaxing me. The book usually takes my mind of whatever is causing the anxiety for the moment, then later I can try to think about the story line of the book and all the possible directions it might go.
  • I listen to inspiring music...for those three minutes of musical bliss my worries and cares are taken away with each single note...
  • If i'm tired, I go to sleep. Or I just relax on the couch and watch some TV. Usually I come on AnswerBag and chill on here. It works the best!
  • I hate to repeat myself, but it is true, and it works: I meditate and quiet my mind and body both.
  • Listen to relaxing music, watch comedies on TV, take a hot shower then lie down for abit. Listen to a relaxation tape I have that is mixed with music.
  • listen to beethoven and eat an iceblock
  • I usually sit in a room alone, lay down, listen to my music, and chill. I usually feel better if I'm just alone for a few. Oh and I've got to have my ic cream and Cigg.'s!
  • I usually don't do anything. Then I get a headache which I will 1st try to medicate away & when that doesn't work, finally, I'm forced to lie down with either a cold rag on my head or a heating pad or go to sleep. NOTE: This is not advice!...this is a cautionary tale.:) Do Not Try This Method yourself as it is a poor way to go about handling stress.:) I'm just being honest. That's what I do. Maybe I'll mend my ways & try some of these other suggestions next time. Actually I could start right now since the past 24 hours have been nothing but stressful around here!

  • Exercise is your main key, Try punching a punching bag (if you dont have one go down to the gym!), Talking a jog or walk. Play basketball, football, Whatever sport you like! If you need any further advice on stress, come talk to me!
  • I bake bread. No bread machines for me, honest yeast bread. People talk about punching bags and exercise, but part of bread making is kneading the dough, and that is so much better than punching bags and exercising. Kneading involves punching the dough. Dough feels soft and supple, like the face of that boss at work who has handed you too much work and expects to have it all done in two days. You can make the dough become the fleshy body part you want to hit and it really feels like hitting the real thing. And the really great part is that it is very difficult to over-work bread dough. You can knead for five minutes or half an hour, until all the little cares float away and you are left with inner peace. And a couple hours later you have a very healthy loaf or loaves of bread to eat as sandwiches, toast, or however you consume bread. Inner peace plus healthy diet equals success in my book.
  • I daydream. I daydream, and I enjoy myself.
  • I sit out on my deck in the back yard and smoke a nice, fresh Acid Ronin cigar, and play with my dog.
  • I put in a movie and sit at one of my looms and weave away my worries and troubles. Sometimes I spin wool on my spinning wheel. Or I make soap. Thinking about the formula and what additives to use as well as the process of mixing and stirring help me to set aside my concerns. If I'm a sad kind of stressed I grab a toy or two out of the toy basket and head outside with my goofy Old Engish Sheepdog, Lord Dudley and his daschund sidekick. Their antics are guaranteed to make me smile and laugh. I also have a break dancing chihuahua who is just a hoot!
