  • Should be similar to my older VW Passat, on which I INSTALLED a set of these lights to replace the plastic badges the car came with in the U.S. First, remember that the plastic tabs that hold these lights in are very fragile, so if possible, DON'T snap out the whole light, but rather work from behind, inside the fender. It's very likely you'll break off some tabs if you pull out the whole light. To work from behind (this is NOT hard), jack up the car at the front jacking point on the affected side. Turn the steering wheel all the way toward this side, so the wheel is far in on the back side. Recheck the stability of your jack. Remove several of the screws securing the plastic wheel well liner, starting at bottom rear. Push the wheel well liner in and feel with your hand up to the fender badge light, find the bulb socket. Twist counterclockwise, pull out and remove. You should have enough wire to bring the socket out so you can see it, and remove and replace the bulb. I forget the bulb type, but it should be the same as your rear license plate light bulbs. Reverse procedure to reassemble. Watch that jack!! and remember there is no need to place yourself under the car at any time to do this.
