You might find this helpful. http://www.cdr-zone.com/reviews/dvd_media_reviews/ I wont say that brand matters per se, because most are rebranded from some of the same actual makers, but the cheaper they are may be a sign of how many coasters ya'll end up with. Well, of course, compatibility with your drive and any DVD players you will want to play back DVDs produced. Consider also read/write speeds of the media. Its been my experience that some 8x media couldnt be read in older DVD players, though a 2.4x or 4x from the same burner seemed to work fine.
