How do you keep your music organized? (CDs lined up by artist name? Separated by kinds of music (blues vs pop vs jazz)? Several memory sticks or an iPod full of MP3 files?)

My s/o's music is all in a jumble...no order at all. I don't know how she finds a thing! I still have hundreds of cassettes, a lot of my old vinyl and I don't know how many cds....200? 300? If I don't put them in some kind of order, I can't find anything! Mine are in alphabetical order by artist...and if I have more than one by the same artist, chronological. My s/o thinks that's a bit anal, but otherwise, it would take me forever to locate something!

Alphabetical order by artist name and when there is multiple albums from that artist chronological artist

My CDs are organized by the band i have the most cds of, to single cds. My Zune is alphabetic by Artist ^_^
