Some companies offer better interest rates for Gold & Platinum card holders. And while it lasts, there are some Extended Warranties that you get when you buy gear with Gold or Platinum Credit Cards. They kick in after the original ones expire, but read the fine print. Nope, no one will bow to you, or tell you how happy they are that you're back in London...

For Visa card holders, there are specific defined benefits that are part of having a "Gold" card. If you're interested, I can get the details (I have a relation that works for Visa, drop me an e-mail). This is NOT necessarily true for "Platinum" or "Titanium" or "Carbon-Fiber Reinforced Ceramic Metal Matrix" cards (or whatever they are marketing these days...;-D...). The benefits that are attached to those cards are decided by the credit card issuers, so your mileage may vary. . . .

There is also the Platinum card...I don't know what the most precious metal/mineral in the world is, but I have a Platinum card and we live on social security and a modest (very modest) retirement income. So if they're gonna give a Platinum card to me (which I've had for many years) there must be something bigger 'n better for the rich folk! Happy Wednesday! :)
