DNC speaker is touting how Dems will create energy independance. How do they plan to do this?

By using Hot Air. However, Dems are less beholden to Old Money/Big Oil, so there might be a move to more research. I'd like to see a Giant Mirror in geosynchronous orbit, reflecting sunlight to the ground. It could create heat for turbines, powerful solar cells, and if well focused on the Enemy... forget it.

As with most Liberal viewpoints, it is very idealistic and not remotely realistic. They think they will achieve things by merely dreaming them up. The quickest way to energy independence is drilling for more oil where we already know it exists and start building more refineries.
