How to get rid of the Google dropdown menu? Everytime I type something (for example, arm, it shows different variations, such as are, art, etc.) Is this a new feature of google?

Yes it is a new feature and I must agree it is very annoying. You can reset your computer to a previous date to eliminate it but everytime you use Google it will update the setting.
