  • Wifi is a wireless signal broadcast which allows users with the proper equipment to receive the Internet when within range. The usual method of using it involves a laptop and a wireless router, a small device that receives the signal. Most places like hotels which offer it have a wireless router already in use which guests may access.
  • I have no idea what wifi calling is. I just wanted to talk to you. Hi!!!!
  • If you've heard of Voice over IP or VOIP (such as vonage, getting home phone line through your internet provider... etc) you already have an idea of what wifi calling is. If you have high speed internet and a wifi router (this broadcasts your internet signal for other devices to connect to) you're phone can tap into the internet/wifi signal and make phone calls over this connection. UMA is different from VOIP in some ways... It does use T-mobile's network eventually, but it also uses your own high speed internet connection to make calls and do data. This is beneficial if you don't get the best signal at home or if you need more minutes.... T-mobile has a feature that will let you make unlimited wifi calls (depends a little on what type of account you have). If you have high speed (DSL/Cable) internet and a wireless router (most will work fine) you can use wifi calling.
