OK... When I was 10, I threw a rock into the air. It came straight down and dorked my sister in the head, causing a little tiny bloody spot. At 10, I was already a master a$$ coverage artist, so I proclaimed that "a blue jay came down from yonder nest" <Pointing conveniently to the nest in the tree> "and pecked my dear sister Jane on the forehead". About that time, a bluejay landed on the fence and started crabbing at us for being under the tree. The story was bought... -hook, line, and sinker- To this very day, Mom tells the story about "sweet little Janie" with her bright blonde hair being attacked by the vicious jay. It makes me feel very, very guilty and want to 'fess up. The only thing that keeps me from making my admission, is that this story is immediately followed by Janie's malicious lies that I hooked jumper cables to her, and pushed her face into a cow patty.

I constantly feel guilty that I am a bad father because I do not play with my childeren as much as I think I should. And I fear that they will grow up with the same lack of emotional attachment to me that I have to my parents.
