Heh. Funny. Im writing and composing a duet for a wedding right now. ANYWAY. I dont know about the crash course, but heres a couple tips that might help you when singing to get the clearest sound. When hitting a higher note, try not to think about it as your voice REACHING the voice, but more..hitting it from above. It sounds weird, but it does help in a weird way. Keep your shoulders back and your back straight. Dont think about what you look like, but what you sound like. Try to hit each not clearly, not sliding them by or starting each line with a whine. (too many people do that.) If closing your eyes helps, do it. The best place for acoustic sound is your bathroom. It echoes your voice the best so that you can really hear what you sound like. Best of luck!!

Roger Love's book Sing Like The Stars is a good start, it explains the basics without getting too technical, it includes a CD with some great vocal exercises to build your voice. You'll need to practise daily. good luck!
