Do you ever buy a new item like clothing or a small appliance, maybe something you've wanted for a while, then bring it home and not open and/or use it for weeks or even months?

Clothes. Now that I am at a pretty static size that doesn't change too much over years, half the clothes in my closet still have the tags on. I break them out on special occaisions.

Things on sale, sometimes I just keep on hand! I bought a bunn coffee maker on sale 59.00, and I have a good one!!!!!

Oh, that happens now and then. But sometimes it's because it's something I need for later. Clothes that I found at a thrift shop in the summer, which is something I wouldn't where until winter. Or something that might be used only on special occasions or holidays.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, you found me out! Which reminds me, I bought a refrigerated air window unit I swore I had to have that I still have in its box. It has been sitting in my garden room for over a year. Guess it hasn't gotten hot enough for it yet!

yes its a bad habit i had for years, and i realised it was a bit of a comfort thing, so the last few months ive totally controlled it, im pleased to say :D

I have a new coffe maker (which I needed, my old one broke)that my g/f gave me a couple of months ago for my b'day and it's still in the box. I've switched to Miller Lite instead of coffee so haven't had a need for it:)

Funny you should mention that. I was needing a printer, for my computer, and had spread the word through the family to keep an eye-out for a good deal. After researching and window-shopping for a couple of weeks, I bought a new one. Before I could get it hooked-up, my uncle brought one over and my new one sits in the box. lol.
