  • In my personal opinion, I've always had a good level of respect for Biden. From his personal life to his work in the congress, I feel he's been a man of value and hard work. So for me, it will only make Obama's position stronger.
  • I'm pretty tickled, I think Obama just made a bigger mistake than he would have if he picked Hillary to be his VP. Biden is a rabid gun grabber and anti 2nd amendment. Clinton (as in Bill) correctly surmized that their administrations anti gun stance is what caused Gore to lose the election against Bush, The Brady Bill and the Assault Weapons ban were both passed under Clinton. Bidens statement "I'm the guy that originally wrote the assault weapons ban that became law. Then we got defeated" tells me all I need to know about him. Biden scores F by NRA on pro-gun rights policies as does Obama. That is almost a certain defeat in an election. He will definately hinder Obama's chances if not outright make his defeat a certainty. It's a bright happy day!!
  • I actually like Biden. He taught a class at my law school and seemed like a pretty down to earth guy. But in the end, the selection of any vice presidential candidate would not sway my vote one way or the other.
  • Hinder. But he is smarter than Hussein.
  • As a Delawarean, I'm overjoyed at the choice. We won't be afflicted with him locally any longer! The bad news is we might be afflicted with him nationally. Personally, as with most politicians, they're very friendly and likable. Unfortunately, politically, Biden is hit-or-miss. And on some issues, he's closer to McCain than Obama, which will hurt him with the liberals, and on others he's very far liberal... which I'd say would hurt him with conversatives, but I don't think there's much hurting to be done on that front. The choice certainly doesn't give Obama much headway.
  • I think that his extensive knowledge of foreign affairs definitely helps a lot with an area in which Obama has been considered weak.
  • If the United States is a country with people that think with their brains and not their liver, Senator Biden will help the United States. His experience in Foreign Affairs and International Law is extremely important specially now that the US is having problems with Russia, Georgia, Iran and Pakistan not to mention the on going wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. I only hope that US voters will inform themselves and vote pro United States. Regards.

  • I think Biden will be an excellent asset to Obama.
