Help answer this question below.

I have a '98 Ford E350 van with 5.4 L engine. Its missing at certain rpm's mostly at highway speeds. What could cause this?

    Usually if you remove the coils (esp if they are old or high milage) you MUST replace the coil boots and coil contact springs inside the boots. NEVER EVER replace the plugs with anything but OEM Motorcraft Plugs on a Ford Engine. Yeah some shops will through in Autolight or Bosch or whatever, If you want the job done right u use oem plugs ! And yes the misfire can be a lot of other things as well but I would start with the coil boots and contact springs

    It could a lot of things, such as a clogged fuel filter, incorrectly gapped spark plugs, or a vacuum leak
