Yes. There are 2.5 million year old fossils of smilodon gracialis, a small and early form of sabertoothed cat. Smilodons are the main genera of sabretooths, also called sabre toothed tiger. There are even 40 million year old fossils of sabre toothed cats. Those oldest ones are named 'dinictis' and 'Hoplophoneus'. In between, there are about 35 different species of sabre toothed cats. But why is this question in the category 'evolutionary theory'? I don't see the connection.
