It would take 9 weeks in Australia to obtain benefits, so I would have to make it through till then. THat's a long time. I would get out the old guitar and start singing up a storm, do face painting, do story telling, anything that would get me enough money to get me through.

hmm, if I was not maried with a kid I would have lived out of my car while working airport security. I had to quit because we had to move in with her parrents for financial reasons.

You know what's really scary? It's not even that hard to become homeless, given the economy in various countries nowadays. Friend/family support is essential.

I would contact the several homeless shelters and see what I needed to get in. I hope the homelessness wasn't due to a fire, because all the shelters around here require you to have ID! Once there, I would go on job interviews until I found the best fit. I would work it for a few months and save money while living in the homeless shelter, then get the hell out of Dodge!
