  • The College of Santa Fe in New Mexico is ringed by the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, which are snow covered 8 months of the year. Pristine air, colorful autumns, and the highest rated professors in the latest Harvard poll. It's a liberal arts college. Another beautiful campus in the University of Colorado at Boulder, same reasons - breathtaking mountains. I also like the Univ of Wisconsin in Madison - two or three lakes within the city limits, beautiful buildings.
  • I am rather partial to Brigham Young University. It has a beautiful campus with lots of trees and open lawns. It sits at the foot of the Wasatch mountains. There are several parks in town and up the canyons. There are also a number of scenic drives that you can take up and around the mountains. I especially recommend the Alpine Loop in the fall (the colors of the trees are absolutely gorgeous) and the road to the Squaw Peak look out (magnificent view of almost all of Utah Valley). Both of these roads should only be driven when they are clear of snow though.
