I'm from Thailand (BKK). I think Thailand-Laos is better because several months ago Myanmar had very strong storm, many places were destroyed. You may have to check how Myanmar is recovery? But personally I prefer Laos to Myanmar. Laos has a gorgeous water fall (someone said that it can be compared with Niagara Fall. Thank you to decide to visit Thailand anyway, my country is also gorgeous. Hahahhaha

I have done the Laos-Thailand combination in July this year but not the Thailand-Laos or Thailand-Myanmar. My major was Laos and Thailand was only minor. In fact my friend and I only went for a 1/2 day trip to Nongkhai from Vientiane via the Friendship Bridge. Nongkhai was impressive and was almost spotless. Thumbs up to City Council Authorities! I would not go for the Thailand-Myanmar combination. I would give Thailand a pass this time (have been to Thailand four times already)and opt only for Myanmar.
