Be more specific: how exactly are you feeling and what are your sugar readings when you feel this way? Are you good about taking care of your sugar or are you only just starting to take care of this? Depending on the rest of your condition, (i.e. pregnancy, other health issues) if this insulin you take now leaves you feeling less than well, your doc can work with you on that. I took several different kinds of insulin and other diabetes related meds. Each had side affects and it's a trial and error thing. Could be your doctor too. I say that because, my first doctor when I was diagnosed with diabetes put me on a tablet, for the life of me I can't remember the name now--glucophage. That's it. And I had what I thought were some side effects that were not what I wanted. He dismissed them and said that's not even been mentioned in the studies. When I moved out of state and got a new doctor, she said that she wasn't surprised by my complaint that that some of her female patients had similar issues and was very quick to suggest something else and even made some comments on why I was given this medicine since I was in child-bearing years. She said "You do want children, yes?" when I agreed she asked why I was taking that med. So anyway, sorry I keep giving you these long answers. :-) Don't let anyone dismiss you and how you feel. If your doc isn't helpful it's time to find a new doc

I have that issue too with my sugars sometimes. When I was first diagnosed in 2001, they were way too high, in the 400-600 levels. So when I had to use insulin to normalize the sugars I got so dizzy and confused when the sugars were actually safe and normal (i.e. around 85-105). My doctor explained that my body was adjusting. Once I got pregnant and my sugars were already good, I would (and did drop twice!) drop to the 30's before feeling badly. I had two serious accidents because my sugars were generally between 50-70 for 7 months so when they dropped my body didn't "detect" it, I suppose. Here recently, I had some rice which always makes my sugar go CRAZY and an hour later my arms were tingling, it was like my mind was foggy... I checked my sugar it was 215. So sounds like you're body is re-adjusting to the new changes. My ob said that 1st tri & 3rd tri are generally more challenging when attempting to control sugars, but 2nd tri is generally more stable. I found that to be true with my first preg and now I'm preg again and girl I wake up every two hours at night to check my sugar--that's how crazy it's becoming again. If it's okay, keep me up to date on how you're doing! I'm so happy for you! :-) Kitten
