Rarely. If I find a record that is in really good condition and I would like it in my collection I buy it. Haven't done that in years though.

Yes. Why? EMP can destroy all computers, but not CD's or LP's. Also, Cd's and Lp's are immune to computer viruses and other malware.

Yes, because some tracks that are on CD aren't available to me for downloading.

Yes. I like the feel of 'owning' it. Music on the computer is technically there.. but not the same 'there, as havin it.. in your hand.

I'm on a tight budget, and inherited a huge collection of CDs, tapes and LPs from my parents, so for the most part, no. I do, however, still buy hard copies for two types of release: 1) Music so awesome and legendary that I feel the need to have an archival copy for my collection. 2) Music so rare/obscure that I'd never be able to find it (and often, even any references to it) online.
