How do you connect a DVD player to a stereo receiver (Panasonic SA-CH55) that has a Phono input but no line-level AUX imput? Connecting DVD to Phono input with RCA-coaxial cables produces distorted sound.

    Use an RCA to P2 adapter, plugging the P2 end to the MIC port. if it still produces distorted sound, connect the DVD to the TV and use connect the TV to the stereo using the adapter ( remember to set a very low output volume and amplify it on the stereo later).

    You need to drop the levels from your line out to the phono input. Im just about to build one for the exact same reason. Its very simple. Ill post the diagrame when im finished. Dave
