  • yes they can mate with one another however they will not have fertile eggs. You can not outcross a bird species. Finch can mate with other finch, amazons with other amazons, cockatoo's with other cockatoo's macaws with other macaws, lovebirds with other lovebirds, but you can't breed them to a separate species and get a mix. thank go one of the few things we haven't been able to screw up, like mongrel dogs and humans
  • No they cannot successfully mate and have chicks. They are different species and can't interbreed. Even the budgies and lovebirds, though both members of the parrot family, are too far apart to breed. And canaries and budgies aren't even in the same family.
