    Not really, unless it affects their writing. If people write about sexual matters, it may be informative to know their own sexual orientation. Otherwise, no.

    I really don't see why it should. I think sexual preference is really a private matter and should be kept out of most work related matters. I don't care what your preference is if you make a great dinner or write a great book. :)
