Saxophone..because of its sweet tone.
-
french horn becasue of its rich and bold sounds yet almost as agile as a wood wind when played correctly
-
The piano... I'm biased cuz it's what I play. Next would be the cello. Smooth, warm legato tones are just beautiful.
-
cello. all the way. versatile, beautiful, amazing. someone should give me one for christmas so i can learn to play.
-
The XYLOPHONE has such a mellow vibe.
-
A Jackson guitar played through a Marshal system. I like that metal sound.
-
I like the strings because I just do.
-
I always loved the sound of a well played violin.
-
I love guitars I like the way they sound When my fiance is playing me a song on one I fall asleep I just think it's beautiful! I'm learning how to play right now, that's one of my chrimy presents a guitar with a amp and all the extras!
-
I like the saxaphone
-
I started learning classical guitar recently. The mellow sound and warmth take me to a different, special place.
-
When I'm in a happy mood, the flute. When I'm melancholy, the cello. When I'm relaxed and serene, the piano. etc.
-
guitars.. i always wanted 1 and i never got it ..i have accoustic ..but i love loud noise..drums 2. and bass but guitar over all.
-
The saxophone. There is just something sexy about it's sound.
-
Saxophone, i like that jazzy sound that it lets out. it makes me happy! :-)
-
I love Bagpipes...I dont know why though...Maybe because I'm half Scottish...(but if thats true then what dose the Romanian side like?)
-
I feel like I'm betraying the piano but..... Cello, BABY! Vibration that pierces the soul.
-
I like the double bass. The pedal notes on a stringed instrument make me feel warm and fuzzy.
-
cello
-
Keyboards. They make many many many sounds.
-
The human voice, for the variety of sound available.
-
Soft, light jazz flute
-
I was going to say piano.. but it's been chosen by a few people already. So I will say Trombone! Not only do I play one, but they are a necessary part of any big band, jazz, or marching band, and they have a place in classical music as well.... not to mention the fact that they are just plain cool!
-
oh man, so many to choose from, i don't have an absolute favorite, but top ones include: 12 string acoustic trumpet stand up bass piano harmonica there are of course many others, the category is just too broad to narrow it down for me.
-
I am a nutjub but I love the harmonica, any song with a harmonica solo gets me.
-
Electric Bass. I like the low frequency sounds and it takes a little more skill to do a guitar-solo when you've only got 4 strings instead of 6 so I appreciate the talent involved more.
-
Viola, it has the most gorgeous sound...
-
All 3 have strings and sound good in different ways to me: Piano, violin and the mellow, cello The mellow tones and variety of sounds that these three instruments can make can soothe me or stir me. They are powerful and in the right hands they are "weapons of massive mood enhancement."
-
Violin. It can sound soft and sweet or wild and crazy, and both sounds suit it. It's a very expressive instrument. I like listening to violin sonatas and Swedish folk music. I like that you can dress it up for classical music or use fiddling styles for more laughter and carefree fun. I also like the hurdy gurdy, willow flute, harp, and acoustic guitar when it's beautifully written and played by a talented person. I have to say, any instrument played very well can sound beautiful.
-
Clarinet, perfectly tuned. Ah, have to love it. Once I had my clarinet perfectly tuned, and it was the best playing I ever did. I sat outside to practice and people threw money at me! Good times
-
Bass guitar. I love all the "low" instruments, but the bass guitar just sounds so majestic to me.
-
I think the viola is the most beautiful, red-headed step child of the orchestra. It is like the violin but lower and to me sounds less screechy...what the violin should have been all along.
-
Steel guitar, played well and placed well, it adds emotion to a song.
-
the scottish bagpipes because they are loud yet they are a very good example of forine music
-
keyboards and guitars cause you can play it and it can jive to what ever feelings / emotions you have at that very moment
-
I would say the human scream although recently i heard that it doesnt have any note at all but this is bullshit. Sounds and music is a way of expression or action. A human screaming express's the feeling or action this person has or done. Next i would say the violin cause of the mythology all around it. PS: i am a guitar player but guitar is not the instrument i like the most
-
Saxophone and piano... Its what i play guitar ... because its what my husband plays
-
instrument alone? the piano because it just makes me in a peaceful state of mind
-
Trumpet Because I play it
-
Piano or guitar. They can create harmonies within themselves.
-
The piano, Its remarkible and its love.
-
CLARINET BABY!!!!! being that i'm a clarinet player... lol
-
The Guitar cos its the one instrument I can play and it can help me when I am sad and it can join me when I am happy! I can tune it by ear ( I'd better be able to after ** years of playing) and a good example of an excellent sounding guitar is the song "Classical Gas" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t32V7dr0BzM&mode=related&search= what a sweet sound!
-
Theres nothing like the crack of a Marching Snare on a cool summer morning. Ah, the joys of Band Camp.
-
I would have to say the ACOUSTIC guitar is the best sounding isntrument for me when played right i think it would even put a baby to sleep
-
I've got to say my drums
-
Violin, especially when Sara Watkins of the bluegrass group, Nickel Creek, plays it. Mmmmm 'Smoothie Song'
-
1st Bass guitar then electric guitar and drums. Rock all the way
-
Cello -- it has a certain sort of mood about it that fits mine all too often...
-
The Hammond organ, becuase it's so versatile, dynamic, and nothing sounds like it.
-
The French Horn. because it has a very beautiful tone, has a large range, and is just such a sweet sounding instrument.
-
The piano always has that organic and harmonious sound and can be light and delicate or thunderous and violent. Piano is my favorite.
-
It's hard to decide, but I like the oboe, violin, and accoustical guitar.
-
