  • I AM "a survivor". In June, 2001 I was declared dead on the operating table - two times. Due to the fact I was raised in a positive environment, had positive teachers and professors, read mostly positive books and have positive-thinking mentors, I think in a positive way. Once in a while, do negative thoughts and influences sway me? Yes. But I realize what's happening, I go back to my positive ways. BELIEVE IT OR NOT: Due to the way humans evolved, negative thoughts are the easiest and first thoughts to come to mind AND negative thoughts burn or use more energy than positive thoughts. As I tell folks, "We - you and I - are on this side of the dirt!" As fqr as I'm concerned, I'm making it - each and every day! Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it! VTY, Ron Berue Yes, that is my real last name! Source(s): My wonderful family! The many books I read, mark-up and make notes in. Because this is the way I was taught. My TERRIFIC teachers, professors and mentors! Yes, after all these years, I continue having many of them in my corner. "THE University of Hard Knocks"
  • Yes I am very much a survivor. It is impossible to give up, I am much too hard headed to give up even when I feel that things are just not worth going on. There is always that little thing that will stop you breaking.
  • Yes! There may be times when I feel like giving up, but deep inside I know I want to continue and try to make it.
  • So far, that's a big YES. I have survived one feeble attempt at suicide, two life threatening bouts with disease, and the loss of two husbands in the space of 10 years, before I was 30. Things have gotten much better since then, and at age 65, I look forward to the next 35.
  • Yup, I'm dancin' as fast as I can. I can do this, I know I can!!!!!!
  • lol Absolutely! I have a couple of people that would love to see me fail and I refuse to give them te satisfaction.
  • Well I've survived this far, and intend to survive for the rest of it.
  • I'm a survivor.
  • Yes, I refuse to give up. I'm in it for the long haul.
  • yes i am, i have survived so far and will continue to do so.:-)+
  • I'll always survive. I never quit.

  • as long as I know how to love I know I will survive.
  • Yes..giving up sometimes sounds really good..but I have a stubborn streak a mile wide that won't let me give up :)lol
  • I get down but I always get back up, especially with my husband's elephant story in my mind. Short version is you can't eat an elephant at one time, so if you feel discouraged, you just have to come up with some new recipes and take a few more bites. Eventually it will get done:-)
  • What an awesome question!!! I really did have the worst year possible last year I drove into a tree at 70mph nearly killing me and everyone in the car too, I broke my arm, sprained my ankle (which led to me losing ny job as I couldn't get into work and I was just temporary), I then lost my nana (who was like a mother to me)...i took one look at my life, and in the pits of despair, i knew i couldn't take anymore. I had a applied for a position as a sales executive before the crash, and I got through to the second stage, they aske d me back for the second interview, and as a result of the crash i had my arm in cast, haematomas (severe bruising which can cover more than a square foot of your body) and I couldn't walk and cuts all over my face - i looked like road kill!! I dragged myself out of bed, put on my best suit, slapped on a load of makeup, and got my mum to escort me to the interview... during the interview i had to give a presentation....I waltzed in - said hello really bright and bushy tailed, and got on with it. and you know what?? I got the job!! That's how to do it, drag yourself out of bed,m put your head back, on and sort your life out, coz nobody else can do it for you - it takes one little step. Luckily I have my family and they are my rock!! But i can safely say, I survived the crash and I got myself out of a depressing situation!
  • I hope so:)
  • Do we have any other choice?
  • Yeah...already found out giving up doesn't work so fuckit...no choice but to survive like it or not :|
  • I gave up a ling time ago, but I'm still surviving!
  • yes I would like to believe so.
