Help answer this question below.
Dave Chappelle. Anyone who can turn the "Nigger Family" into a 50's era, white, suburban family, just for the purpose of saying Nigger a zillion times.... It's cutting edge, it makes people uncomfortable, and most importantly, it made me laugh HARD. You can try to analyze humor all you want, but the real test is: "did you piss your pants?"
Mitch Hedberg. His delivery is brilliantly hilarious.
Ron "Tater Salad" White.
Edit: To the coward who rated me down for saying who MY (repeat MY) favorite was, I can only say (in the words of Ron White), "Yeah, well FUUUCCCKKK YYOOOUUUUUU!"
Russell Peters is one that I know of better. He can be very humorous!
Probably George Carlin
Chris Rock & Jerry Seinfeld
-Jimmy Carr
-Alan Carr
-Stephen Fry
-Bill Bailey
-Jack Dee
-Rich Hall
-Marcus Brigstock
-Dawn French
-Jenifer Saunders
-Dara O'Brian
-And Boris Johnson (as good as a comedian)
My 5 year old son!
Bob Hope, Jerry Lewis, Robin Williams
George W. Bush!
Bill Cosby.
He's just the greatest story teller who ever lived, IMO.
Jim Gaffigan is runner-up.
I'm British :]
So that would be Ross Noble.
Or the extremely funny AND gorgeous, Noel Fielding.
Robin Williams
My Department Head.
His leadership, management & ideas are hilarious.
Demetri Martin, Trevor Boris, and Russell Peters are my top 3 favourite comedians... but there are a lot of great ones out there - I just don't know all their names.
Mitch Hedberg...sadly he has since passed away.
red skeleton ( for his time and for a FAMILY show was excelent! (check out some of his lines below!
Subject: Red Skeletons's version of a perfect marriage (this is good clean fun)
the perfect marriage
RED SKELTON'S RECIPE FOR THE PERFECT MARRIAGE
1. Two times a week, we go to a nice restaurant, have a
little beverage, good food and companionship.
She goes on Tuesdays, I go on Fridays.
2. We also sleep in separate beds.
Hers is in California and mine is in Texas .
3. I take my wife everywhere.....
but she keeps finding her way back.
4. I asked my wife where she wanted to go for our
anniversary. "Somewhere I haven't been in a long time!" she said
So I suggested the kitchen.
5. We always hold hands.
If I let go, she shops.
6. She has an electric blender, electric toaster and electric
bread maker. She said "There are too many gadgets and no place to sit down!" .. So I bought her an electric chair.
7. My wife told me the car wasn't running well because
there was water in the carburetor.
I asked where the car was; she told me "In the lake."
8. She got a mud pack and looked great for two days.
Then the mud fell off.
9. She ran after the garbage truck, yelling "Am I too late
for the garbage?" .... The driver said "No, jump in!"
10. Remember: Marriage is the number one cause of divorce.
11. I married Miss Right. I just didn't know her
first name was Always.
12. I haven't spoken to my wife in 18 months.
I don't like to interrupt her.
13. The last fight was my fault though.
My wife asked "What's on the TV?"
I said "Dust!"
** he was good clean fun!
Jim Carrey. Watch any of the Ace Ventura movies and you will know what a nut case he is....but he is really really funny!!

Evolution,man that is a joke.
The late George Carlin.
Robin Williams
Jonathan Winters
Jim Gaffigan
Brian Regan
Richard Pryor
George Carlin
Bill Cosby (in his standup prime)
Others I'm sure I'm forgetting.
Why? They make me laugh.
Steven Wright
Richard Pryor for the past,
and probably Dane Cook or Dave Chappelle for nowadays.
Steve Harvey
jerry seinfield and robin williams!
Fry and Laurie - their show was genius. Stephen Fry has perhaps the best use of English I have ever heard.
Tim Vine is good, dead cheesy one liner jokes.
And if you ever get the chance to go and see Milton Jones (Not that well known), GO!
Enjoy these clips. The first three are HUgh Laurie, Stephen Fry or both, then Tim Vine, then Milton Jones.
Brian Reagan. Not many people know him, but he is hilarious.
Charlie Chaplin
Ellen!
how are you gonna give me a negative? i think shes funny, my opinion.
Me!
At this moment in time it has to be DDDRRRR(drum roll)
Peter Kay . Maybe some Americans won't get him . but even Connelly rates him .
I miss Chris Farley
It used to be Carlos Mencia but then I found out he was fake alla round. He is not even Mexican and he steals ALL his jokes. But I think Ellen Degeneres is, she is funny and does not have to hurt peoples feelings. I also love Richard Pryer
can a pick two?? as i love Jack Dee and jo brand just as much, oh and the two guys out of peepshow :)
"Jerry Lewis"
There are so many truly fantastic ones, but this one would probably "top" my long list.
KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE REAR OF THE COW in this video of a LIVE sketch, because the cow "dumps" during the routine.

My favorite was George Carlin. I enjoyed his view of the world. I'll miss him.
As far as more modern comedians go, I like Mitch Hedberg a lot...
Right now: Chris Rock
All time: George Carlin or Richard Pryor
George Carlin
Which comedians do rigid ideologues enjoy? Does any member of the GOP like George Carlin or Bill Maher? Who are the right-wing comedians?

You're reading Who is your favourite comedian?
- which can also be phrased in the following ways:
Comments
There's a double standard too. I acknowledge that. I think it would be really hard (though perhaps not impossible) for a non-African American to sound funny saying "nigger." For me it's very personal and case-by-case basis.
Richards MIGHT have sounded funny saying it, but the political police jumped all over him. I've only read it not heard it.
But since there is not one human who has supported him yet, I doubt that's true. Even Seinfeld is saying perhaps we never really knew him.
All that being said: I am not into political correctness. I am black and sometimes am willing to stand up and say that the majority of my people have it wrong, like when my communit was supporting Mike Tyson because "the man" was unjustly prosecuting him. I was like kiss my butt, you're crazy.
by zazzy_one on November 22nd, 2006
You might want to be careful with this kind of thing on the 'bag. People aren't going to know you're black, and will react very negatively to the N word. You'll end up having to do a lot of explanation and cleanup work I think.
We all have to adapt what we say and how we say it to make it fit in this forum. I'm always having to be careful with my oddball sense of humor to avoid having it be misunderstood.
by Stableboy on November 22nd, 2006
Thank you, sir. Understood. I know you came from a good place with this.
by zazzy_one on November 22nd, 2006
Afterall, I don't want to be the Bag's Gibson!
by zazzy_one on November 22nd, 2006
Yeah, I should be careful with my sense of humor. But I'm not as developed as Stableboy.
