A person PLEASE!!!!! I've learned that if you constantly repeat "Customer Service" instead of pushing a #, it will get you to a person much faster.

I by far prefer a person. An automated computer cannot answer me politely if I bitch at them. That is very frustrating.

Everything has become so impersonal these days, I'm more than surprised when I call someplace and don't get an answering machine or call router. I do prefer to speak with a person, that is if they speak my language and don't have a heavy accent.

Definately prefer to talk to a person, as long as thay speak my language and know how to help me. So many times I have talked with someone I couldn't understand and/or they would talk about random things that had nothing to do with what I was calling about.

Automated, with people you end up on hold, or asking "could you repeat that please" too many times.

I prefer speaking to a real person though sometimes the automated prompt system is more accurate at choosing the correct department to solve a problem. What I truly hate is speaking to people who don't have the authority (or script in front of them) to solve problems which are outwith their remit and who won't pass you up the line to find someone who will help. Systems are no good if they don't cater for the exception or unexpected!

Person. Someone that can assess my own personal experience that cannot be defined through a menu option list.
