It is a special person who can look after other peoples' small children all day! As a parent I want to see the children enjoying themselves; occupied with a whole variety of activities - educational and fun. Painting, play dough, water and sand, learning to write their name and count, days of the week, colours etc. Music and singing are also important to me. I want the people there to love children and show compassion and understanding for the different age groups. I want them to reason with my child when they misbehave and tell me so that I can take care of any discipline issues (no smacking in the nursery!) I want people who are knowledgeable about food and nutrition if my child is to eat there. I want a home from home atmosphere! Don't want much do I!?
