I think so...my answer is yes. How dangersous is this? Very, but it's not up to you to solve this problem. All you can do is wait and see how it unfolds. The more you are trying to prevent it, the more the person will take emotional distance from you. A wise thing is to just let it be. Most of the times limerences come strongly, disharge relatively fast and then everything is like before. Most of them leave no trace in the relationship. If you are trying to talk about it, in most of the times, the person will deny everything. Have in mind that you can help her/him go through this or just watch its evolution, but do not be agressive, do not interfere. You migh harm more. Sometimes this state acts just like a flu. It's hilarious, but it's true...only it's not contagious... And answer yourself this question: how much can one control being in love? Good luck!

yeah..it really is bad...it eats you away for no apparent reason...its only after you come out of it you know how foolish you were...am glad that i am outta of it after 18 months...dont want to experience that again...no way...

I´m in your shoes.My bf is in limerence with another girl, he thinks shé been flirting for years , he also hates her, thinks he laughs at him ..I´ve tried many time to break up, but everytime he managed to make me stay...No he say he definately loves me,even mention marriage and kids.. I know he meant it...but then..again the thought of this woman come back ,say its like a whip..Í cannot stop crying, feel like a looser, but I´m deeply in love. They´ve never had anything going, she might not even be aware..I might be in some sort of limerence with him myself..this is crazy. wish that he makes up his mind/heart and be free

I think it can be worse. An emotional affair is easier to compartmentalise. Limerence bleeds into every facet of someone's life. It's very difficult to feel real sexual love for anyone else.
