  • sweeping generalisations are never accurate.
  • That is baloney. Compare ingredients. Hair stylists are under a lot of pressure to sell products that their salon sells. Most likely they would say that about any product other than what they are trying to sell you.
  • I think stylists are just trying to get you to buy products that their salon sells. They will always say what you're using isn't good enough and then try to sell you their products.
  • No, that is not true at all.
  • There is a little tiny truth to that. For example, they say that the salon shampoos and conditioners are better for your hair. First of all, ANY shampoo you use will strip your hair. Period. Whether you get it from a salon or not. But the salon products are made for professional use on customers and are less harsh on your hair than the ones you'd find at the drug store. ie. it wont strip your hair as much. The salon conditioners are stronger also. I can tell you from personal experience that the salon products are better for my hair. I have very long hair and I get compliments all the time because its so healthy looking. I know its the conditioner that I use that keeps it healthy. Maybe not the shampoos but the salon conditioners are definitely superior.
