It will say for sure in the maintance section of your owners manual. But most likely a 10w/40 will be appropriate. Oils are graded by weight and viscocity i.e. 10W(weight) 40(viscocsity). Because it is a new vehicle you should use a good quality oil. Some good brands around the world are STP, BP, Penzoil, Mobil, etc, etc. Basically you will get what you pay for so if you love your car like I love mine spend up! p.s. did you know that subaru backwards spells u r a bus.
