i have a 1999 nissan altima9different body style, same engine) it is recommended that transmission fluid be changed at 30,000 miles, and at 15,000 if the outside tempeture reaches in the high 90's or towing! the filter is cleaned when the fluid is drained.

In the rough and oppresive environments, the transmission oil should be changed every 8000 to 10,000 kms. The filter should be changed too. Same answer goes for fuel injection system - may be say 6000 to 8000 kms.
For friendly environment, add 3000 - 4000 kms without hassel.
