Ever hear of the stormtrooper effect? I believe that's what it's called, but it refers to movies such as Star Wars and James Bond where professional mercenaries and soldiers are often unable to hit the protagonist with their assault weapons while the protagonist easily takes them out with a pistol.

Because imagine a James Bond movie like this: He invades some random place, security does there job and he gets shot and dies. Movie over. ....? wooo????

Bad guys don't have time to learn shooting enough. Besides they have bad luck too.

Because if they were killed right on the spot the movie would end and people would get pissed because they spent 10 dollars on a five minute action film. Also to make the good guy like Jesus. He can do anything! Turn water into wine! Shoot people better than the bad guys can! However I am noticing that in alot of action movies the good guy is shot at least once and forced to go to the hospital. Ahhhh! I have been shot skipper!
