  • you might. I know I can't. Just watch Star Wars and do what yoda says
  • No one has ever shown that ability in circumstances that magicians would find convincing. There is no known scientifically accepted means of doing so. The the betting overwhelmingly has to be "No". If you find out otherwise, you are on the way to becoming rich and famous.
  • I have seen done on a documentary, and it does require a skill, and technique. For the average person I think it is unlikely. Science has not proven if it works or doesn't work.
  • I think both length and "quality" of concentration would come into play. Although it's not popular in western culture, a more useful and mystical use of thought energy is to "move" internal objects like beliefs and emotional blocks.
  • I don't know but if I concentrate enough on an object I can make it disappear. And I'm not bullshitting. I used to do this all the time when I was at school, if I looked at something, sort of out of the corner of my eye, sort of looking but not looking, I could make it disappear. Nowadays, I can still do it, but I have to really, really concentrate and it doesn't always work. I'm sure this is some sort of optical illusion, I know that it is beyond the realms of physics to make something disappear with my mind. But I've never been able to move anything.
  • Is it true that some people are born with varying degrees of tele/psycho-kinetic strength? How normal is it to make a vase implode when angry.
  • Yes IN your mind. But if you concentrate long enough you can meet God.
  • No. But If I concentrate long enough. I can move a bowel.
  • One definition of "mind" is that which is responsible for one's thoughts and feelings; the seat of the faculty of reason. A person could make a strong argument that a thought is generated in the mind to move an arm and the neurological impulses from the brain instruct the arm to move, and when the arm moves it knocks over a lamp, in one sense it is true that an object was moved with the mind.
  • Well your mind controls your arms and legs so I would say given enough thought ... yes! you could get up out of the chair grab the remote and change the channel ... lol
  • Yes you can but you must allow for variables... Like someone walking by and moving it. You could still say it was you that moved it with your mind. You thought about it being moved and it got moved it doesn't matter how it got moved, it got moved. It works try it. Just let go of any thoughts of mystery and magic and simply allow and accept what comes. I do it all the time, it's great fun. I am home alone at the moment and I have just finished a cup of coffee, and now I want the cup to be moved to the kitchen but I am not going to touch it. I'll let you know what happens.
  • sorry sweetie.. lol i dont think thats possible
  • Maybe. I would never say definately not because we don't really know that. Us humans only use a small portion of out brains (something like 2-3%?????) Who knows what the other bulk if it is for?
  • No, but it is quite likely that you will move your mind to see the object change position!
  • it depends on the quality of your concentration.
  • difficult one... yes but ur mind needs to be open to the challenge and has to be channeled to the objects energy force for this to be successfully completed... this takes a long time and some will not ever be capable. however, those who try must consider others moving it... mischevious spirits tend to enjoy moving objects and others around you may do too, so try to consider explanations if the thought of this being successfully mastered.
  • No. You can not. It's simple, deal with it.
  • I've been trying, no luck so far.
  • No one has yet. Doesn't mean it is impossible, just that no-one has yet. All cases of it supposedly happening have been exposed as hoaxes or 'unconfirmed' so far...
  • It is called Telekinesis..Never been proven although the movie Carrie goes into so much detail as what it would be like
  • I heard that there's a formula. You need lots of iron and avoid too much vitamin E and while you do it you have to think passively (have no emotion), have good lighting and stare at the object. Google telekinesis iron formula, you'll see what i mean.
  • by all means keep trying, but i dont think you will get anywhere sorry.
  • i believe that everyone has an ability to do what ever they put there mind to consintrate and empty yuor mind focus on the thing u want to move and see if it works. It never does for me
  • The answer is simply No.
  • if you believe in jesus, you can. I cant.
  • i think it is entirely possible. i have an aunt in Canada who could levitate when she was younger. she could also hypnotize people and communicate with spirits. that was before she got married. after that she stopped practicing and has lost the skills needed. too much work being a mom i guess.
  • i believe so but i have never seen it happen before..keep concentrating XD
  • The brain works on electricity (in extremely small units). I've read recently about a device you wear on your head that can convert the electrical energy of the brain into motion in a small device.
  • I've tried ,any times, in fact. Don't waste your time...or your brain...or your headache pills.
  • Yes, but it could take years to master. Telekinesis means movement of objects with mind power. From my point of view , telekinesis is achieved by projecting a portion of your consciousness in the object that you want to move. When this portion of your consciousness is melting and experiencing the object then movement is possible. One technique that works for telekinesis is to concentrate on the object , consider the object an extension of yourself , a part of your being. When you have a sense that you are projected in the object then you can attempt a movement . As you and the object are now the same , see the object as your third hand and move it. You do not achieve telekinesis with will-power in fact will power will be detrimental because you affirm that you are separate and you cannot move something separate from you with your mind alone. The simplest form of telekinesis is dowsing with a pendulum , where you project a part of your consciousness in the pendulum to answer questions with a yes or no by moving the pendulum in a particular direction. Why the pendulum doesn’t move when you don’t hold it ? Because the link is simply cut off ,it’s no longer an extension of yourself, holding the pendulum make it easier to project inside of it. Something you can try : A/ Fill a bowl with water then let fall a drip of oil in the recipient . As the oil is lighter than water , the oil will float on the surface. Try to move the oil with your mind , imagine that you are one with the oil then try to move it. B/ Take one sewing needle and a paperboard. Fix your sewing needle in this piece of paperboard so that, when you pose the paperboard on the table, it maintains the needle right, points upwards. Then, take a sheet of paper and a compass. Draw a circle of around 10 centimeter ( 3.94 inch). Cut this circle and put it on the top of the sewing needle. Try to turn this circle with your mind
  • Yes get your mind to make your arm move it. Should take a few microseconds ;) Unless you are a Cartesian in which case your mind cannot influence the physical and God has merely arranged matters so that you won't be disappointed ;)
  • Maybe Telekinesis is possible but if you cannot or have never been able to do it before I very much doubt however long you sit and stare you will move anything.
  • I have tried so hard I almost pooped my pants!
  • I think you can! Next time try using your fingers!
  • Technically, you're moving things with your mind by walking, typing, writing, speaking.....your mind controls your body. So, yes.
  • You have to train to be able to achieve this state..This is not for a faint of mind. Ü
  • no but if a thousand people focus hard enough things like this can happen.
  • sure, Bob.
  • I suppose if you consider your body an object, Yes.
  • The Buddha once witnessed a saint walking on water. "that's no big deal," he said "I can jump in a boat and do the same thing, only faster." Telekinesis would be a useless skill to hone.
  • Yes you can! Feel the force.
  • try it let us know! see ya later.
  • Yes, of course you can make an object move.
  • I think that what might be more important is KNOWING you can
  • We don't know for sure, but the evidence seems to suggest that you cannot (in the sense that you intended anyway). But if you can do it, I hope you do better than this guy if you try to prove it to James Randi!
  • The Object Is Called A Turd, And Yes You Can.
  • its not concentration that does it. its more like a meditation and changing your brain waves to a different level...plus thought and imagination. that is my idea.
  • G'day Katkit, Thank you for your question. Only if your mind instructs your body to move the object. Otherwise you will be waiting a very long time. Regards
  • I am skeptical of that. I recently went to a psychic exploration lecture where I was told a technique to work on this ability. i am not totally convinced it can be focused to a degree necessary to move large objects any real distance.
  • YOU MUST BELIEVE IN THE FORCE!!! I dont really know. There are few people that practice this enough. Who knows, if you sat there and tried to move a piece of papper with your mind five hours a day. After three months you might be on to something.
  • No, but if it helps, I'll feel bad for you and move it myself.
  • Ok do it now I'll let you know what moves.>
  • lmao this reminds me of the guy from "Accepted" they ask him what he wants to do when he grows up... "i wanna blow shit up with my mind 0_0"
  • yes but you will need to involve a body part as well maybe?
  • Just use the force. I did and it worked five times! Hope this helps.
  • Yes, only when you become one with the object, see, if remote controls move toy cars and turn on the tv set, and that the brain is more powerful than a super computer and most people use less than quarter of their brain capacity, then why not, who should say then that you can't........peter pan
