  • No poems. BUT words of wisdom. I'll give you quite a few: Emerson said: "This time, like any time, is a good time - if we but know what to do with it." I saw this on a wall in one of the businesses I used to call on: "If you don't have the time now to do the job right, when will yo have the time to do it over?" There are two old sayings: A] "The only stupid question is the question you don't ask." B] "So, you thought --- and think --- education is expensive? Just wait until you try ignorance." Remember this: When you are in a group and you or someone else asks a question; that question being asked could be a question one or more folks have on their mind, BUT are afraid to ask. DON'T be afraid to ask questions - and keep asking questions until you get understandable answers to your questions. This requires persistence and tenacity. Will some folks think you're a pain in the neck [and another place]? Absolutely. Don't settle for "fluff" answers or "smoke and mirrors" answers. THEN make your decisions. A very old, yet true saying in real estate, law and finance: "When it isn't in writing, it simply doesn't exist." Write down ALL the terms you and they agreed to. In many places with fragile merchandise, the VERY OLD, BUT VERY TRUE saying IS ALWAYS IN EFFECT: "YOU break it or broke it - YOU bought it!" "It IS far, far better to give than to receive." You'll discover that saying is true when and if you ever decide to do volunteer work. . . In the news business: The saying used to be "If it bleeds, it leads." A very old saying: "You get more with a teaspoon of honey than you do with a gallon of vinegar." "THE VERY BEST friends you'll EVER have are in your wallet or pocket: Benjamin Franklin: The $100 bill. Ulysses S. Grant: The $50 bill. Andrew Jackson: The $20 bill. Alexander Hamilton: The $10 bill Abraham Lincoln: The $5 bill. George Washington: The $1 bill. As far as Thomas Jefferson on the $2 bill, folks aren't very familiar with that bill. It's better to have two $1 bills." Gran'mom Berue "Wish in one hand and pee in the other - then see which one gets filled first!” Gran'mom Berue "There are no such things as "problems" - ONLY opportunities with pants!" Bill Becker, one of my MANY mentors. "SW3 - N!" Some Will. Some Won't. So What!! NEXT!!!!". . . Dennis Cline - one of my MANY mentors. BELIEVE ME: There are A WHOLE LOT MORE! From time-to-time one or more of them appear in many of my answers. Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it! VTY, Ron Berue Yes, that is my real last name! Sources: My wonderful family!
