Do air stewardesses on private jets still do the whole flight safety routine?

    That all depends on the operator.

    "Flight Attendants", not stewardesses, as they are now called are often onboard private jets. They have not only inflight passenger services training but aircraft specific emergency training as well. They usually do not do a demo like the airlines, but simply speak with the passengesr about seat belt operation and other necessary specifics required by the "F.A.R." they operate under. Airlines operate under Federal Aviation Regulations Part 121, which sets the rules for passenger briefings. Most private jets operate under Part 91 or Part 135 and do not have to do the extensive airline brief. Read more about corporate F/As at - http://www.corporateflightattendanttraining.com

    However many times the operator has simply a "hostess" with no safety responsibilites at all. They are there only for passenger comfort, inflight service and are, in fact, passengers themselves. Part 91 flight operations are not required to have any flight attendants, so hiring a "hostess" is a cheaper proposition as trained "Flight Attendants" are compensated more on a daily basis (often $250/day) for having specialized safety training compared to a "hostess".
